This year will mark the fifteenth birthday of April’s Fool, a verbatim play I wrote that remains on tour and in the high school curriculum. April’s Fool was the first time I flirted with verbatim theatre, and it ended up being the underscore to my entire creative practice. Since then, I wrote a thesis and co-wrote a book on making VT.
